Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Job Summary:

Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned projects, or programs, to ensure that client and company goals are accomplished. See attached job description for details.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage large projects and/or client programs. Develop scope, identify qualified vendors, and coordinate bid packages for multiple bidders and disciplines. Compile bids and present them to the owner with award recommendations. Develop projects, program, budget and submit to the owner for approval. After award, oversee and document the efforts of contractors to ensure client goals are achieved. Ensure proper documents are used throughout the project including appropriate contracts, meeting notes, and close-out manuals. Provide progress updates to client management as requested
  • Evaluate processes and procedures of the Project Management Organization with an eye towards continuous improvement. Develop new processes and provide training to other team members
  • Participate in appropriate professional organizations for networking and continuous education

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree in related field (Engineering, Construction Management), or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 10 years of Project Management experience specific to the construction field
  • LEED Associate, State General Contacting Licenses, or professional construction affiliations a plus. PMI Certification required
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction specifications, drawings, and government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, construction procedures, and employee reviews. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from upper management, clients, subcontractors, and peers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and e-mail communication. Strong written and verbal communication skills required
