Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description
The Project Engineer assists the Project Manager with the planning and daily execution of our projects. This role is responsible for maintaining aspects of the project schedule, managing the process of submittal approvals, coordinating timely delivery of materials, and ensuring projects are completed with quality and profitability while complying with our Safety/Zero Harm culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage project financial responsibilities.
- Participate in preconstruction services.
- Assist with project start-up and scheduling.
- Handle RFI and change orders.
- Oversee submittals and project administration.
- Coordinate and close-out projects.
- Promote customer relations.
- Foster culture, leadership, and employee development.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience within a general contractor in commercial construction.
- Experience in performing RFIs, submittals, and close-out procedures.
- Proficiency in project management, construction management, and project engineering.
- Familiarity with change orders and commercial construction projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field of Engineering.
- 1+ Years of experience in commercial construction.
Work Environment
Candidates will be working onsite at a project in the greater Seattle Metro area. They must be comfortable commuting to locations such as Renton, Seattle, and Bellevue. The work environment offers the opportunity to support large projects with high-profile clients and includes team-building events such as cruises on Lake Union and night skiing. New hires are assigned a peer-level 'Balfour Buddy' to assist with onboarding and to answer any questions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
