- Perform assembly and fabrication of optoelectronics and microelectronics hardware.
- Modify hardware as needed for specific projects.
- Execute manufacturing process plans and test requirements.
- Manage manufacturing flow and capacity plans.
- Conduct tasks in a cleanroom or lab environment.
- Adhere to aerospace, space, and defense manufacturing standards.
- 3+ years of experience as a hands-on Engineering Technician with electronics components.
- Expertise in electronics, wire bonding, microelectronics, and optoelectronics.
- Familiarity with aerospace, space, or defense manufacturing standards such as IPC, Mil Std, and ESD.
- Experience with capacitors, resistors, and wire bonding.
- Understanding of aerospace or space standards including AS9100 and NASA Specs.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting, test equipment, wiring, and soldering.
- Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and electrical schematics.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and cleanroom protocols.
The position is part of the Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business. The client has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA, focusing on developing, manufacturing, and supporting infrared and electro-optical solutions for various platforms. The Cypress location features cleanrooms, office space, assembly areas, and a manufacturing floor, employing 120 people.
