The Parks Retail Business Development team is focused on creating growth and value for the Domestic Parks/Disney Signature Experiences merchandise line of business through business analysis, the identification of new opportunities in support of business strategies, capital planning, capital project management, and initiative/project development and management. In this role, the Retail Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving value through the identification of opportunities, development of key initiatives, and action-oriented analysis and recommendations. You will bring top-notch analytical, strategic thinking, influence, and project management skills to an evolving portfolio of initiatives. The position will report to the Senior Manager, Retail Strategy.

This is a Full-Time role.

What You Will Do:

Business Opportunities Development:

  • Lead key retail projects, including analysis and recommendation development, creating significant value for the business through revenue growth initiatives and cost reduction initiatives

  • Proactively drive targeted analysis of the merchandise business specific to individual sites and domestically that leads to changes in the business

Analysis and Decision Support:

  • Facilitate addressing short-term opportunities and daily business issues

  • Understand and assess competitor impacts on the business

  • Support Planning, Location Strategy, Product Strategy, and Merchants on business case development and decision support for initiatives

  • Look across the businesses to understand performance trends and opportunities

  • Lead ad hoc analysis and work on other, non-capital, projects as assigned

Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • 5+ years experience in financial analysis and/or strategy development

  • Proven creativity in identifying business opportunities and addressing issues

  • Excellent communication and relationship skills with a demonstrated ability to influence partners and key business decisions

  • Apply storytelling techniques to financial data and present it to leaders at various levels

  • Experience overseeing various tasks, adhering to strict deadlines, and thriving in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to work within a complex, matrix organization and find creative solutions

  • Skilled at prioritizing tasks, solving problems, and making decisions

  • Experienced in working with colleagues and partners to achieve goals

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Merchandise, Planning, and Store Operations

  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools

Required Education:

Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or other related fields
