Superintendent of Construction
Job Description

As a Superintendent of Construction, you will play a pivotal role in managing the timely completion of projects by scheduling over 20 subcontractors, consultants, and vendors along the critical path. Your responsibilities will include ensuring subcontractor compliance with their scope of work, leading essential meetings, performing quality control checks, and maintaining effective communication with the project team.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule 20+ subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in the critical path to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure subcontractors execute and comply with their scope of work and correct deficiencies identified by the project team.
  • Lead required subcontractor and preconstruction meetings to coordinate work.
  • Perform quality control checks regarding the work performed.
  • Identify conflicts and issues in the construction process and communicate them to the project team for resolution.
  • Communicate with the project team regarding issues, material submittals, and requests for information (RFI).
  • Maintain a daily log of activities on the job site through daily reporting software.
  • Work to meet local township requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Ensure all subcontractors adhere to OSHA and Speedwell Safety Standards.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in construction management and commercial construction.
  • Subcontractor management experience.
  • Experience with multistory buildings and ground-up/footings preferred.
  • Strong understanding of safety and quality control standards.

Work Environment

You will be part of a smaller company where you are not just a number, with management that is approachable and easy to communicate with. The work site is located in State College, PA. The company is expanding by taking on diverse projects, including gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, and hotels.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.69/hr.
