- Produce comprehensive construction drawings for commercial architecture utilizing Revit.
- Oversee and guide junior staff in the production of construction documents.
- Red-line drawings when necessary to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate effectively with clients and other engineering trades.
- Conduct site visits as required.
- Licensed Architect with 5-10 years of experience in producing construction documents.
- Fully proficient in Revit.
- Experience with commercial buildings, specifically supermarkets or big-box retail.
- Ability to produce full construction drawing sets independently.
- Bachelors degree in Architecture.
- Valid Architecture License with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.
- Experience in big-box commercial/retail and/or multi-family residential projects.
- Proficient in MS Office and Bluebeam; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and building systems.
- Strong project management, communication, and time management skills.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a team of 4-6 individuals in a fast-paced environment.
The main office is located in Hudson County, housing approximately 20 employees. The firm specializes in commercial projects, with major clients such as Walmart, CVS, Stop & Shop, Trader Joe's, and DoorDash. They handle up to 50 projects at a time, predominantly in commercial/retail/supermarkets and big-box stores. The team comprises project managers and architectural draftsmen under the leadership of the owner and principal architect. The work environment is dynamic, with a strong focus on commercial projects, phasing out residential work due to high demand.
