When you join Design Group as a Senior Architect, RA you are joining a team that will challenge you and position you for growth . In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the worlds leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists , and subject matter expert s to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Architect, you will work both independently and within multi-disciplinary teams to design and deliver high-performance industrial facilities for clients in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and consumer-products sectors. Your focus is technical excellence, code-compliant documents, and seamless coordination from concept through construction.

  • Lead architectural design on complex industrial and manufacturing projects, serving as Architect of Record, as needed

  • Produce accurate, detailed Revit construction documents that meet all applicable codes and standards

  • Coordinate closely with in-house process, mechanical, electrical, and construction teams, as well as external stakeholders and clients

  • Guide projects through permitting, bidding, and construction administration; review submittals, answer RFIs, and support field activities

  • Apply current building codes, ISO guidelines, GMP requirements, and other regulations across all project phases

  • Contribute to project planning, design reviews, and client presentations as a senior technical resource

  • Travel to client sites for field verification, design validation, and coordination meetings as needed


What You'll Bring
  • 10 years of architectural experience in industrial or manufacturing facility design

  • Revit proficiency and a record of producing complete, high-quality construction document sets

  • Familiarity with facility types such as cleanrooms, cold storage, laboratories, and food or beverage production plants preferred

  • Experience acting as Architect of Record on technically complex projects

  • Thorough knowledge of ISO, GMP, and applicable building codes and standards

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office

  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively with internal engineering teams

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and technical presentations

  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, start-up support, training, and industry events

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture (required); Masters degree preferred

  • Licensed Architect (RA)

  • NCARB certification preferred
