Are you a detail-driven Estimator with experience pricing ground-up commercial projects? A reputable General Contractor in Dallas is looking to hire a talented Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team and help drive success across a strong pipeline of retail, grocery, and automotive builds.

About the Company:

This well-established GC specializes in ground-up commercial construction with a focus on grocery stores, automotive dealerships, retail centers, and build-to-suit projects across Texas. Known for their accuracy, integrity, and long-term client relationships, they offer a supportive work culture and stable growth opportunities.

The Role:

As an Estimator, youll be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and bid packages for ground-up commercial projects. Youll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure accurate pricing, competitive proposals, and thorough scope coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare quantity take-offs, pricing, and full bid proposals for ground-up commercial projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and subcontractor proposals
• Develop and maintain project budgets through preconstruction
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor bids and scopes
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
• Collaborate with Project Managers and leadership during hand-off to operations
• Track market pricing, labor costs, and material trends to keep estimates competitive
• Maintain a current database of subcontractors and vendors
• Provide value engineering options and cost-saving alternatives when needed

What Theyre Looking For:

• 3-5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction
• Strong experience with retail, grocery, or automotive dealership projects preferred
• Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, Pro Est, or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and technical documents
• Effective communicator with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors
• Local market knowledge of Dallas/Fort Worth subcontractors is a plus
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (not required)
