Purchasing Manager ( {{city}})

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate / Renegotiate T&C with vendors on quality, price, and performance.
  • Reviews Bill of Materials, analyze and processing of purchase orders in accordance with field crew along with sales departments.
  • Managing Pricing Agreements. Identifying, qualifying, and negotiation of vendor and supplier agreements.
  • Lead and delegate tasks, training along with mentoring of purchasing agents and buyers.
  • Develop and Implement policies and procedures along with purchasing management instructions. Identify opportunities of cost savings.
  • Expedite purchase orders. Negotiate price and delivery timeline of equipment and parts. Act as main point of contact for and manage relationships with suppliers, solve problems and issues as they arise, including correction of out-of-spec parts and invoice issues.
  • Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software to manage suppliers, create purchase orders, plan and create jobs, complete necessary status reports, and update necessary equipment and job information.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelors Degree, Associates Degree or certificate in general business or Supply Chain Management, preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience required in mechanical contracting.
  • Ability to read technical/construction drawings and Bill of Materials required.
  • Familiarity with welding, fabrication, machining, materials, and manufacturing practices required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills . Ability to be assertive and to negotiate with vendors. Proactive problem-solving and relationship-building skills. Experience working with internal and external customers, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Mechanical aptitude, ability to understand and have an interest in mechanical systems.
  • Experience using Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, database, and ERP system.
