Job DescriptionAECOM is actively seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager/Transit to join our World Class Transit Team in Pittsburgh, PA. Here you will have the opportunity to coordinate and provide technical expertise for mid to large-size transit projects, including Light Rail, Bus, and Facility improvements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Manages ongoing multi-discipline engineering work and delivers technical work product.
- Manages ongoing bidding and design support during construction of project.
- Approves and sign off on work.
- Provides scope and estimates for engineering proposals to meet requirements on medium and large, complex engineering projects.
- Develops and implements project management plans, including risk management and quality control procedures.
- Coordinates with various stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and community representatives.
- Oversees project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Conducts regular project status meetings and prepares comprehensive reports for senior management and clients.
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in transit engineering and project management.
- Identifies and implements innovative solutions to complex transit engineering challenges.
- Participates in industry conferences and professional development activities to stay current with emerging trends and technologies in transit engineering.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Valid Drivers License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Requirements:
- Professional Engineer License or the ability to obtain within six months.
- Previous Civil and Transit Engineering experience preferred
- Previous Project Management experience preferred
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
- Relocation is not available for this position.
