Position Summary:

We're seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a strong foundation in commercial construction and a passion for learning complex, regulated project environments. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a Project Manager role quickly, while gaining firsthand experience managing field coordination, submittals, RFIs, and compliance documentation on high-profile public and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning and executing HCAI and DSA-regulated construction projects

Manage submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and field documentation

Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, and consultants to ensure compliance with project specs and regulations

Track schedules, procurement logs, and budgets to support project delivery timelines

Participate in preconstruction planning, job walks, and field coordination meetings

Ensure document control and reporting procedures are followed across all project phases

Assist in creating and updating project schedules and look-aheads

manage safety documentation and ensure site safety compliance

Proactively identify project risks or issues and communicate solutions to the team

Qualifications:

2 to 6 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with exposure to healthcare (HCAI) or school (DSA) projects

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred

Working knowledge of construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Excel

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Eagerness to grow into a leadership role and take on increased responsibility

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask across multiple project priorities
