Mig Welder**

**Job Description**

Engage in horizontal and vertical MIG welding on various materials, predominantly aluminum, with occasional work on steel and stainless steel. Welds will vary from 18-gauge to 3/8" thickness, and you will occasionally perform TIG welding as needed. Utilize .360 wire, 4043 wire, 5356 wire, and .035 wire on occasion. You will be responsible for inspecting your own welds using visual methods, and some welds may require certification. You will work alongside 4-5 other welders during your shift.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform horizontal and vertical MIG welding on a range of materials.

+ Utilize different wire types, including .360, 4043, 5356, and .035.

+ Conduct TIG welding as necessary.

+ Inspect own welds visually and ensure certification where required.

+ Collaborate effectively with a team of 4-5 welders on shift.

**Essential Skills**

+ Minimum of 1 year of welding experience, either through school or on the job.

+ Proficiency in reading weld blueprints and symbols.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ 3+ years of welding experience, either through school or on the job.

**Work Environment**

The work takes place in a large manufacturing facility that focuses on assembling, warehousing, and fabricating building products. Although the facility may not be the cleanest, it is known for its strong culture and team-first mentality. Located at the East Brooklyn Park Facility, each welder has their own welding bay on the manufacturing floor, with provided equipment excluding helmets. The facility is strictly no-smoking, and the work primarily involves production of building products such as access doors, entrance grates, floor doors, fire cabinets, roof hatches, smoke vents, and stair treads and nosings.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
