Pay: Based on Experience

Job Overview:

CCS Construction Staffing is hiring high-level HVAC mechanics and sheet metal duct installers for a commercial project in Austin, TX. We are looking for mechanics with advanced skills in duct installation, blueprint reading, and sheet metal fabrication. This is a hands-on position ideal for skilled tradespeople ready to lead and produce quality work on-site.

Work Scope Includes:

• Ductwork Installation: Measure, cut, assemble, and install sheet metal ducts according to blueprints or job specifications

• Hanger Installation: Accurately position and secure duct hangers and supports

• Blueprint Reading: Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and construction plans

• Fabrication: Use tools to cut and shape sheet metal; familiarity with plasma cutters, brakes, and shears

• Sealing and Insulating: Apply sealants and insulation to ensure airtight and energy-efficient HVAC systems

• Follow safety procedures and ensure clean, efficient work areas

Requirements:

• Must have mechanic-level experience in HVAC ductwork and sheet metal installation

• Strong skills in duct measurement, cutting, layout, and fabrication

• Must have own tools and full PPE (hard hat, safety vest, gloves, glasses, boots)

• OSHA 10 preferred, but not required

• Must pass a drug test and background check

• Ability to work independently and interpret detailed mechanical plans
