In this pivotal role, you will help ensure we secure the best providers to deliver outstanding care to our community, all while advancing systemwide continuity, compliance, and efficiency.

Position Summary

As the Finance Contracts Coordinator, you will take charge of planning, managing, and executing provider contracts across the Spartanburg Regional Health Services District and its affiliates. From collaborating with attorneys to supervising a high-performing contracts team, you will drive a process that is fair, compliant, and aligned with our mission. You will report directly to the Division CFO, delivering critical insights and status updates, and ensuring seamless coordination across departments and facilities.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the creation, management, and execution of provider contracts across the health system and affiliates.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on provider contracts, delivering weekly updates to MGC leadership on contract status and open projects.
  • Oversee and mentor the contracts team, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant contract management activity.
  • Work hand-in-hand with legal counsel and executive leadership to review contracts, negotiate renewals, identify new opportunities, and guide conversions.
  • Ensure the provider contracting process is fair, transparent, and aligned with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Champion contract compliance and standardization initiatives, driving consistency across the District.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments, facilities, and stakeholders to secure provider services that align with best practices, value-based care, and organizational goals.
  • Communicate contract terms, obligations, and updates clearly and effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify risks, solicit feedback, and recommend long-term solutions to strengthen contract functionality.
  • Foster a positive team environment, encouraging input, feedback, and continuous improvement to meet evolving departmental needs.
  • Step in to support Financial Analysts during peak workloads or absences to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all contracting policies and procedures.
  • Take on other duties as assigned-because here, we are all in it together.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Business, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a provider contracting environment.
  • 1-3 years of process improvement experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with provider contracts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate level).

Preferred Qualifications

Education

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Business, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3+ years of provider contracting experience in the healthcare industry.
  • 3+ years of process improvement experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
