Mechanical Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Your ability to read and interpret schematics and perform scheduled maintenance will keep our fleet mobile.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
+ Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics effectively.
+ Perform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air, and water systems.
+ Conduct repairs to meet DOT or OEM standards, ensuring rental equipment is returned to "Ready to Rent" status.
+ Perform and document inspections of fleet equipment.
+ Maintain and organize shop and storage areas, ensuring proper storage of flammable items.
**Essential Skills**
+ Solid understanding of truck-mounted vacuum equipment.
+ Strong mechanical and hydraulic system knowledge and electrical troubleshooting skills.
+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data, drawings, and schematics.
+ Proficiency in administering DOT inspections.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
+ Self-motivated and accountable, with timely completion of assignments.
+ Ownership of a basic set of hand tools and storage box (company provides large and specialized tools).
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Minimum three years of verifiable experience as a mechanic.
+ Experience with truck-mounted vacuum equipment preferred.
