Summary

We are seeking an experienced and licensed Master Electrician to oversee, plan, and execute electrical projects at our facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems in compliance with California electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Primary Duties

• Supervise, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components including wiring, lighting, control systems, and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to ensure proper installation and compliance.
• Lead and mentor journeyman and apprentice electricians; assign tasks and provide on-the-job training.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure all work is performed according to local, state (California), and national electrical codes.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to support construction and maintenance activities.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, inspections, and compliance records.
• Oversee procurement and inventory of electrical supplies and equipment.
• Support energy efficiency initiatives and recommend system upgrades or improvements.

Compensation

The initial hourly rate of pay will range from $50.00 to $55.00

Education and Experience:

• Valid California State Electrician Certification (General Electrician classification required); C-10 license is a plus)
• California C-10 electrical license required
• 8+ years of progressively responsible electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead electrician role
• Deep knowledge of the California Electrical Code , NFPA 70E , OSHA regulations, and industry safety standards
• Experience with energy storage systems (ESS) and battery installations.

Software/Equipment Knowledge: Proficiency in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.

Other Considerations:

• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with safety standards and protocols for electrical and solar installations

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Physical requirements include standing for extended periods of time, stair and ladder climbing and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds. Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g., hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves, and high voltage protective equipment, etc.). Work with hazardous materials may be required.

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in the use of tools, equipment, and testing instruments used in the electrical trade.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience working in industrial, utility, or power generation environments.
• Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and electrical control systems.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays based on project needs.
• Occasional travel between sites or to local permit offices may be necessary.

Fit for Duty

All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening. There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around the facility.
