SummaryThe Estimator provides accurate and highly cost-efficient estimates, provides support to internal organization members, and is a team player who contrubutes to improved revenue and profitability for Sparks. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in estimating in the trade show/exhibit industry.
This position will support our Estimating team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of any of the following locations:
- Philadelphia, PA
- Dallas, TX
- Detroit, MI
- Ft. Wayne, IN
- Participate as a team player in providing overall value to the company
- Prepare estimates for construction of trade show exhibits and environments
- Maintain working relationship with vendors and subcontractors
- Research materials as they pertain to products availability
- Maintain estimate files and product reference library
- Recommend most cost-efficient materials and fabrication methods
- Operate computer spreadsheet programs for exhibit estimating
- Work in conjunction with Operations Manager on large projects
- Work with Account Executives on their estimating requirements
- Assist in projects not directly related to estimating
- Perform any other duties from time to time which business conditions may warrant
- Prepare all detailed proposal materials for all project presentations
- Act as lead to cross-train existing estimator in themed environment estimating.
- Trade and/or business school training
- Minimum 3 years experience in estimating in the trade show exhibit industry
- Excellent skills in Excel
- Ability to quickly adapt to new software
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Working knowledge of woodworking equipment and construction methods
- Proficient in Google Drive and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a team player
- Ability to operate within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
