LSF is seeking a talented Project Coordinator - State Opioid Response and SBIRT who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.
Purpose and Impact:
This position is a four-year position managed under a grant opportunity awarded by the Health Resources Services Administration – Opioid-Impacted Family Support Training Program (HRSA-OIFSP). The success of the project depends on the project coordinator's ability to work in a fast-paced, interesting and challenging work environment that may involve a variety of different tasks that may vary on a day-to-day basis. This full-time administrative professional will be responsible for organizing the workforce and training of paraprofessionals’ knowledge, skills and expertise to increase the number of peer support specialists and other behavioral health-related paraprofessionals who work on integrated and interprofessional teams providing services to individuals with opioid use disorders and their families.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within the scope of work
- Responsible for non-financial submissions including performance reports, progress reports, NCCs, and other documentation to HRSA.
- Track and analyze projects’ performance, expenditures, procurement and report about any possible or current blockers, risks, overflows, deficits
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Assist with training on topics related to grant deliverables.
- Work with resource management on resource planning, availability and allocation according to project’s needs.
- Based on provided scope and requirements translate them into tasks, schedule and assign tasks
- Work with team on project work to keep project going according to schedule.
- Communicate to Project Director changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
- Track and analyze project performance, cost performance, schedule and report to the management on the changes project scope, project schedule, and project costs, being able to suggest the improvements to all the above.
- Report and escalate to Director as needed
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Participate in team’s project performance reviews
- Perform quality assurance
- Must also possess the ability to train students/paraprofessionals and other course requirements.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all students/paraprofessional participating in training and activities.
- Be knowledgeable about and connect students and interns to community resources and services, if requested.

Physical Requirements:
Energy, persistence and stamina sufficient for functioning as a part of a team in a fast-paced office environment and significant travel.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field. Master’s preferred.
Experience:
- Three to five years of experience in contract management, oversight of training and technical assistance programs, or program management.
- Experience creating work breakdown structure (WBS) - translate requirements into tasks
- Experience with task scheduling and resource assignment
- Experience with project management practices and tools to create, manage, and track project performance, cost, verify scope.
- Experience user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Skills:
Proven ability in the areas of program management, contract management and delivering training and technical assistance programs. Some experience with providing both mental health and substance abuse services to vulnerable populations. Must possess skills to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
Other:
Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.
