Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems and possess the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our cooling systems across various properties. This position will also be tasked with commercial cold equipment repair such as walk-in freezers, beverage cooler, and industrial ice machine repair.
Compensation
Salary: $50.00- $58.00 per hour depending on experience, Use of company vehicle, PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, FSA, 401k.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Respond to calls promptly and professionally, addressing client concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Diagnose issues with HVAC/R equipment and perform necessary repairs.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and components.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of cooling systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to address any HVAC-related concerns.
- Drive a company vehicle to various job sites for service calls and installations.
- Build and assemble refrigeration units as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in all HVAC/R work, including handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
- Proven experience in HVAC/R systems is required.
- Must possess a Massachusetts refrigeration license or certification.
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings related to refrigeration systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Experience in equipment repair, specifically related to refrigeration and air conditioning units.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations related to HVAC/R systems and refrigerants. ( R-22, R-410A, R-134A)
- Must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subject to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in property maintenance settings.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
