The Safety Administrator will report to the Safety Specialist assisting with providing safety trainings, tracking safety training completion, and performing safety audits on our production floor. The Safety Administrator will assist in distributing and tracking weekly safety toolbox talks (TBTs). They will be a Safety Committee member and will attend, assist, and take minutes for safety committee meetings. The Safety Administrator will assist in safety initiatives and help to promote awareness among employees. They will be responsible to perform any other duties as assigned by the Safety Specialist, Regional Safety Manager, or Plant Manager Requirements:

• To know and follow at all times proper safety procedures and to wear prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE) as they relate to the work being performed.
• To report immediately to his/her supervisor any injury, unsafe act or condition, or any failure or impending failure of plant equipment.
• Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times (safety glasses and steel toe shoes). Safety equipment is provided by Victaulic, with the exception of steel toe shoes, which must be provided by the employee upon first day of employment.
• The Safety Administrator Role is not an office job. The Safety administrator can expect to split their time between an office setting and the production floor.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsibility for tracking Safety Training, including sending out weekly reminder emails and training topics to the supervisor and management team
• Hazard Elimination Tracking and Audit completion
• Chemical Inventory and oversight of MSDS online
• Forklift Training and tracking. Maintain forklift training software
• Maintain and update Job Safety Analysis (JSAs). Provide training on JSAs
• Maintain and update Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and provide training
• Complete Hazard Elimination Audits as well as Safety Awareness Assessments on the shop floor
• Track Safety Awareness Assessment and Hazard Elimination Data, update metrics and send to all supervisors and managers
• Conduct weekly New Hire Safety Training
• Oversight of PPE Vending machines and coordination with Stauffer to maintain or add items
• Assist with Industrial Hygiene sampling
• Assist and document PPE evaluations
• Track meeting minutes for various safety meetings and Human Performance Learning Teams
• Assist in Incident investigations
• Assist in waste shipments

Qualifications:

1. Safety and health technical degree- preferred.
2. Proficient and knowledgeable of all OSHA requirements.
3. Good communication skills
4. Sound experience in a manufacturing setting.
5. Working knowledge of federal, state and local level environmental rules and regulations.
