Location

This position is based out of our Lenexa, KS office.

Responsibilities

This position will offer you the ability to directly apply your knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and power plant engineering
You will be preparing calculations, specifications, and technical reports to support client reviews, and will additionally conduct equipment sizing, optimization evaluation, and selection in response to project needs
While supporting project teams with other Mechanical Engineers, you will be involved in system engineering, including the design, modifications, and analysis of power plant mechanical systems
There is the potential for you to travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year university required
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification preferred
  • GPA above 3.0 preferred
  • Proficient in basic computer programs including MS Word and Excel, web browsing and e-mail programs
  • Strong work ethic highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right
  • Eligibility for this position requires US citizenship; the successful candidate must provide proof of US citizenship in order to obtain badge access to the site
  • Candidate must complete security questionnaire and successfully clear site access requirements check
  • All employees are subject and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance, as applicable
