Job Summary

Seeking an experienced P&ID Drafter to prepare and maintain detailed P\&ID packages using SmartPlant P\&ID (SPPID) and AutoCAD. The role involves implementing design revisions, ensuring data integrity, supporting field teams, and coordinating with engineering to deliver accurate and timely drawings across all project phases.

Job Description

  • Prepare and maintain complete P&ID packages, including preliminary, conceptual, and detailed design deliverables
  • Implement revisions and change management per company standards and engineering direction
  • Clarify instructions with drafters and engineers when markups or verbal directions are unclear
  • Check drawings for consistency, completeness, and accuracy using approved markups, legends, PTRs, and specs
  • Maintain data integrity across disciplines and ensure accurate updates in the SPPID database
  • Assist in generating and preparing reports such as line lists and other supporting documents
  • Maintain awareness of task schedules and man-hours (MHs) to meet project deadlines
  • Identify scope changes during small to mid-sized projects and make necessary drawing updates
  • Act as a field resource to support construction with issue resolution
  • Review and comment on vendor documentation relevant to client and project needs
  • Work collaboratively with team members while balancing individual performance requirements

Skills Required

  • 10+ years of experience with SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Bluebeam
  • Familiar with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in 3D modeling with some supervision
  • Strong knowledge of PFDs, UFDs, MSDs, and P&IDs
  • Experience publishing and retrieving data from SPPID
  • Understanding of all project phases: Pre-FEED, FEED, and EPC
  • Experience leading medium to large projects
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Associates degree from a technical institution preferred
