Responsible for overseeing and managing the operation, maintenance, and repair of physical infrastructure and utility systems. This position ensures the smooth functioning of facilities and plays a critical role in providing a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Essential Functions:
-Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and repair activities for the hospital's buildings, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other infrastructure components.
-Manage the operation and maintenance of the hospital's utility systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, power distribution, water supply, and waste management.
-Ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of all facility-related equipment, such as generators, boilers, chillers, and elevators.
-Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards, conducting regular inspections and audits to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
-Develop and manage the facilities engineering budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality standards.
-Lead and supervise a team of facilities technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
-Implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to proactively address potential issues and extend the lifespan of facility equipment.
-Coordinate and oversee facility improvement projects, renovations, and upgrades, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to hospital operations.
Education
Bachelor's Degree Mechanical Engineering required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials
Driver's License - Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles preferred
Experience Required:
Facilities Maintenance/Mechanical Engineering Experience 5-7 years
Preferred: Supervisory/Leadership Experience 2-3 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, utilities, and mechanical equipment, as well as experience with building automation and energy management systems.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team, make decisions, and resolve complex facility-related issues.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, environmental standards, and other relevant healthcare compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address facility-related challenges effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, vendors, and hospital leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced hospital environment.
