PepsiCo Foods Canada has current openings at the Frito Lay Facility in Cambridge, ON for a Licensed Millwright .
Compensation: $47.95 per hour (Plus shift premiums) Shift: Weekday evenings, 11pm – 7am
Responsibilities- Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce unplanned downtime
- Carrying out assigned daily maintenance tasks with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Responding quickly and effectively to emergency breakdowns and troubleshooting issues as they arise
- Supporting root cause analysis efforts and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures
- Work collaboratively with operators and other skilled trades across the site to identify and mitigate downtime, safety risks, and quality concerns
- Communicating clearly during shift handovers and team meetings to ensure smooth coordination across teams and work orders
- Demonstrating strong troubleshooting abilities and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Manage through emergency breakdowns
Qualifications
- Mandatory: Must hold a valid Millwright (433A) license in the province of Ontario
- A secondary trade license (e.g., Electrical, Welding) is an asset and may qualify for additional compensation
- Ability to use machine shop equipment and weld
- Strong work ethic, with a positive attitude and motivation to succeed in a team environment
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs as required
- Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability
- Solid communication skills and basic computer literacy (e.g., entering work orders, logging maintenance tasks)
- Prior experience working with production or packaging equipment in a food manufacturing environment is preferred
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and recording hours
- Must be flexible and available to work rotating shifts , including weekends and holidays, as required by the operation
