Plumber

The Plumber/Technician is an experienced journeyman responsible for performing residential plumbing, repair, maintenance, and installation functions. This includes work on well pump systems, water treatment, gas and oil-fired equipment, remodeling, new construction, drain cleaning, frozen pipe repair, and general plumbing services. This role requires interfacing with customers to explain and resolve plumbing issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Run residential service calls for plumbing-based repairs, maintenance, or new construction.
• Perform residential well services repair and maintenance calls.
• Monitor truck inventory and prepare requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
• Communicate with customers regarding plumbing service diagnosis and repair requirements.
• Provide coverage for early starts and after-hours emergency situations, as needed.
• Participate in training to stay current with new technology and techniques.
• Perform other duties as required to achieve the mission of the Well Services.

• Minimum 4 years of field experience in residential plumbing services.
• Solid grasp of residential well system configuration, diagnosis, and repair.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in using technology such as an iPad for daily operational use.
• Ability to read and understand residential plumbing manuals and specifications.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Valid Connecticut motor vehicle operators license.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• P-2 or higher plumbing license required.
• S-2 License is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and composed.
• Ability to multi-task when assigning, reviewing, and tracking numerous work orders and projects.

The role involves using technology such as an iPad for daily operational tasks and requires flexibility for early starts and after-hours emergency situations. The position also demands effective communication with customers in a professional manner.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
