Drafter Manager

We are seeking a talented Drafting Manager to lead a team of drafters in creating fabrication drawings for client-specific equipment. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive AutoCAD and Inventor experience, tasked with guiding and developing a dynamic team through multiple projects as the subject matter expert in fabrication and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead a team of five drafters, ensuring quality fabrication drawings are produced to meet client standards and guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with clients, internal fabricators, and shop employees to transform concepts into detailed designs.
• Spot check and evaluate the team's work, ensuring adherence to customer specifications.
• Delegate tasks and manage project timelines and priorities based on urgency.
• Act as the subject matter expert in fabrication/shop drawing processes.

• 5+ years of experience with AutoCAD and Inventor.
• 1-2 years of engineering leadership experience.
• Strong communication skills with internal employees and external clients.
• Ability to evaluate sketches and designs, bringing them up to specification.

• Experience in metal and wood fabrication design.
• Background in structural design and mechanical drafting.
• Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing projects from start to finish.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
