HVAC Technician

Job Description

As a Lead Field Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the field commissioning of building automation systems tailored specifically for each customer. We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused team member who acts as a role model for other field engineers. You will be responsible for solving complex problems, training less experienced Field Engineers, and serving as a product and technical expert in the field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, guiding others in problem-solving strategies.
• Conduct system maintenance on field controllers, servers, workstations, and associated hardware.
• Identify and communicate technical issues, recommending necessary upgrades, enhancements, or repairs.
• Maintain clear documentation and provide status updates to customers throughout the project.
• Deliver customized training to owners and operators to ensure a smooth transition for system upgrades and service improvements.
• Provide turnkey project delivery on medium to large projects.
• Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.

• HVAC
• Building Automation Controls or BMS

• Advanced expertise in TCP/IP networks, including wireless technologies.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Proficient in integrating various building automation systems.
• Able to interpret Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical blueprints.
• Experience in managing multiple simultaneous challenges across various disciplines.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Bachelors or Associate degree, Technical/Business School Certificate, or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or a related field.
• Capable of troubleshooting complex HVAC and building automation system logic.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
