Pipe Layer Laborer Sewer and Water Crew - $34.00per hr

Responsibilities:

• Understands slopes, elevation and soil types
• Has knowledge about trench boxes and shoring Up to date with new technologies
• Understands line and grade for pope installation
• Understands and double checks top man math on elevation grade shots
• Responsible for potholing utilities
• Understands weights of material and use of correct rigging
• Verify that the grades provided by survey is directing water / sewer down hill
• Be trained in confined space and follow Ames confined space policy
• Provide good communication with backhoe operator, bottom man, and top man
• Shovel to fine grade for pipe and notch for bell cavities
• Understand basic pipe laying procedures and backfill for water, sewer, and storm pipe
