The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon Missile Defense products. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and we integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. TEE products are located in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments. Our Engineers engage in weapon system product verification, qualification, test data analysis, and production test solution development. TEE has job responsibilities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including demonstrations, early engineering tests, design verification tests, production, and sustainment.

What You Will Do

TEE is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining complex test environment systems for proprietary projects within the Raytheon effector portfolio.

  • Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical environments

  • Manage the Technical Data Package (TDP) and its release for multiple test stations

  • Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions

  • Providing guidance and assistance to less experienced professionals and/or support employees

This position is 100% onsite in Tucson, Arizona

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with a combination of the following CAD modeling and analysis tools: ANSYS, ProE / CREO Parametric, AutoCAD, and/or Creo Schematic

  • Experience with shock analysis for optical devices such as near infra-red spectrometers

  • US Citizen - Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Must currently be briefed to a Special Access Program (SAP) prior to start

Qualifications We Value

  • Design experience with mechanical and electronic packaging

  • Experience with Configuration Management processes, application, and tools (e.g., Windchill / cPDM)

  • Experience in mechanical sub-systems packaging, materials, thermal analysis, structural analysis, control systems, electrical hardware design, or large assembly development

  • Experience with environmental stress screening of hardware (e.g., vibration, shock, thermal, etc.)

  • Systems engineering experience

  • Experience with basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching less experienced professionals, and process execution

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
