Core Responsibilities
Construct high-quality, durable decks and frames with precision, adhering to project plans and specifications.
Manage project phases (e.g., demolition, footings, framing, decking, railing, completion) efficiently and professionally.
Collaborate with our team to exceed client expectations.
Maintain safe, clean, and organized work sites in compliance with Washington State safety regulations (WAC 296-155).

Qualifications

Established deck building company with proven experience in residential or commercial deck construction.
Valid Washington State contractors license through the Department of Labor & Industries (L&I), as required by RCW 18.27.
General liability insurance (minimum coverage per Washington State law), workers compensation coverage for all employees (or proof of exemption), and bond, as mandated by L&I.
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality craftsmanship with strong attention to detail.
Efficient project management and problem-solving skills to complete projects on time and within scope.
Professional communication and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
Necessary equipment, tools, and workforce to execute deck construction projects year-round.

Washington State Compliance Notes

Subcontracting companies must operate as independent contractors per Washington State law (RCW 51.08.195) and maintain valid L&I contractor registration.
Proof of general liability insurance, workers compensation coverage (or exemption), and bond is required before starting work.
Companies are responsible for their own taxes, including Business & Occupation (B&O) tax, as required by the Washington State Department of Revenue.
M3 Decks & Outdoor Living complies with Washington States independent contractor agreements and payment regulations.
