Electrical Foreman Lead High-End Custom Residential Projects

About the Role
LIGHTWORKS is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead field execution on some of the most architecturally significant homes in San Diego. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can manage and inspire a team of journeyman electricians and apprentices while delivering projects with excellence, safety, and precision.

Youll be responsible for driving job site success from start to finishplanning, supervising, problem-solving, and ensuring our high standards are met in every wire pulled, panel built, and light turned on. What Youll Do

  • Lead the Crew: Supervise, train, and support journeyman electricians and apprentices. Set clear expectations and uphold a culture of craftsmanship, accountability, and pride.
  • Drive Project Execution: Ensure timely installation of electrical systems, lighting control, and smart infrastructure. Own the daily flow of jobsite operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce code compliance and project specifications. Perform inspections and resolve installation issues with efficiency and foresight.
  • Site Coordination: Collaborate with general contractors, designers, and in-house integration teams. Be the go-to for all electrical field-related matters.
  • Track Labor & Materials: Monitor labor hours, manage inventory, and assist with change orders to keep projects on budget.
  • Mentorship & Growth: Train apprentices, guide junior electricians, and create a learning culture where everyone improves their skillset.
Qualifications

  • California Certified Journeyman Electrician (Required)
  • Minimum 5 years of residential electrical experience , including at least 2 in a leadership or foreman capacity
  • Deep familiarity with NEC code, residential service upgrades, panel builds, lighting control preps, and smart home electrical infrastructure
  • Strong leadership skills with a calm, problem-solving mindset
  • Clear communication and the ability to manage people and timelines under pressure
  • Familiarity with job tracking tools like Bluebeam, iPoint, or similar platforms (preferred)
