Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.
Min = $64,468.93
Mid = $80,586.17
Max = $96,703.40

Summary:
The Supervisor Construction provides direct management of the construction staff including planning, design, construction alternatives, operation, maintenance and disposal of equipment; performs loss prevention management; oversees safety for the department.

Responsibilities:

Works with administration and department managers in developing plans for new and remodeled facility areas; interfaces and represents administration with consultants and contractors; makes recommendations on major repair and required construction; participates in the bidding process, analyze quotes and negotiation of costs. Responsible, in conjunction with the Construction Manager, for coordinating scheduling and prioritizing of all Internal Onvida Construction Projects and is accountable for project schedules and updates with Facilities Leadership. Monitors daily construction activities on-site including serving as liaison between hospital and contractors during construction and ensuring compliance with design specifications, budget and scheduling; inspects work of construction crews; interprets blueprints, plans, specifications and codes. Facilitates the development of a budget for cost center and the creative allocation of resources with budget limits (including personal, services, space, supplies and equipment) to accomplish the objectives of the organization to assure quality outcomes; assists construction manager in maintaining budgetary control and job costs of projects; assists Manager in developing capital and operating budgets for section. Coordinates the development and maintenance of department policies and procedures. Maintains record keeping system on new and remodeled construction projects; empowers personnel in documentation, record keeping and statistical analyses. Provide human resource management for area of responsibility which includes ensuring appropriate staff is available to meet the needs of the department; providing input into the selection process, setting clear work expectations and coaching employees as needed for success; interviews, trains, mentors and evaluates work of crew members; makes recommendations for merit increases, time off, disciplinary actions and terminations; implements and interprets hospital and department policies and procedures; supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged carpentry, cabinetmaking, remodel, renovation and construction projects; assigns staff and prioritizes projects; assumes responsibility for Department in Directors absence. Oversees and coordinates ordering of construction supplies for YRMC facilities. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED: Licensed or certified in construction management or associated Trade School completion and/or certification or oversight.

Or 5+ years of related construction field experience. Also will accept 3+ years of direct field construction management experience.
