Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Billet Crane Operator is, but not limited to, safely managing billet movement throughout the billet yard. Successful candidates will be able to manage billet movement, both physically and electronically in and out of the billet yard, from the Caster to the Reheat Furnace. Responsibilities also include performing all crane pre-use inspections and associated documentation on time. Billet Crane Operators will also assist the mill and melt shop team where needed. The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
+ Demonstrated commitment to safety
+ Previous cab crane operating experience
+ Able to successfully pass crane operator and mobile equipment requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2-3 years experience utilizing a cab operated overhead crane
+ Understanding of casting and rolling
+ Experience in Steel Making
