What you'll do:
- Effectively use painting/staining techniques and follow Company processes, work orders, specifications, and plans for high-end residential and commercial projects.
- Accurately apply paints, stains, and finishes using a variety of brushes. Apply caulking, surface coatings, and perform minor cosmetic repairs as well as masking and pre-spray prep.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed to ensure a smooth and clean finish. Disassemble and reassemble building components, including windows, doors, jams, etc.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in painting (preferred).
At least 3 years experience as a Painter or Stainer or similar transferable experience in a related field.
Ability to work on a team, willingness to learn new skills.
Able to keep paint shop and tools neat, clean and organized.
Preferred skills, but willing to train the right candidate:
Proficient in the use of brushes and spray guns.
Advanced knowledge of paint/stain types and application techniques.
Familiar with a variety of wood types, stains, and finishing techniques; knowledgeable about factors that affect product quality outcomes.
Perform heavy physical demands (i.e. lift and move doors that can weigh up to 100lbs occasionally, 50lbs frequently, and 20lbs constantly).
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
