Job Summary
IMI is seeking a full-time Construction Administrator for our Watkinsville, GA office.
Essential Functions
The Construction Administrator will provide administrative support to managers, including proposal completion and submission, document control and project tracking activities.
Efficiently operate in Outlook for both e-mail correspondence and calendar maintenance
Generate professional proposals for submission, ensuring letters are grammatically correct and estimates are error free
Record pertinent information in various databases
Receive, download and distribute bid packages, including building project bid books for managers prior to bid review
Review and interpret contractual language to identify key terms, conditions and obligations of projects
Provide a variety of project support-related tasks, including but not limited to:
Document control for projects per established processes
Review of open jobs and billing activity
Process Change Orders
Assist with Purchase Orders (Procurement and Subcontract Management)
Assist with permits, RFIs, submittals and close-outs, as necessary
Assist with resolving issues
Serve as a point of contact to facilitate clear and professional communication with Clients
Assist with additional responsibilities/duties as determined by management
Education and Experience
- College degree in Business Administration or related field required; equivalent combination of experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience in construction coordination, project administration, or similar role is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to meet established goals while maintaining high standards of accuracy and thoroughness
- Ability to understand bid package documents
- Knowledge of construction terminology
- Knowledge of industrial construction preferred
- Flexible, highly organized and detail-oriented
- Highly personable
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional technical writing skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours when required.
