- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12 years of design experience in infrastructure and technology projects which include portions of pre-manufacture.
- 10 years of experience in bidding, designing, operating, and commissioning of electrical distribution systems from high voltage (HV) transformer to branch circuits.
- 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role overseeing electrical engineering projects and teams.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or Professional Engineer license.
- Experience building data centers and related infrastructure.
- Experience in Integration expertise, technical analysis, and critical data analysis skills related to overall system architecture.
- Understanding of large-scale facility cooling and related infrastructure systems for data centers or equivalent critical, industrial automation, and controls systems design with an understanding of stack integration.

As a Data Center Engineering Manager you will lead a team of talented electrical engineers and play a pivotal role in the design, development, and delivery of Google's global data center electrical infrastructure. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in complex, mission-critical facilities, with a strong emphasis on large-scale data center electrical systems. You will be instrumental in guiding projects from initial site assessments and concept design through greenfield construction and major modifications of existing facilities.

- Lead and develop a team of electrical engineers, setting priorities and providing regular feedback and coaching to support organizational goals.
- Collaborate with core teams to understand, evaluate, and develop DC electrical designs from Basis of Design (BOD) to Issue for Construction (IFC) for new data center projects.
- Support long-term planning and delivery of HV substation infrastructure across North and South America, interfacing closely with Energy and Land Strategy (ELS) and Front End Planning (FEP) teams.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance for the development of new data center infrastructure products related to HV, MV, and LV systems.
