Civil Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our team, where you will play a pivotal role in designing and managing projects that enhance community infrastructure. Your expertise in civil/site design, stormwater management, grading, and erosion sediment control will be essential in delivering successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of civil/site design including stormwater management, grading, and erosion sediment control plans.
  • Assist project managers with schedules, budgets, and coordination with subcontractors.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure designs adhere to zoning ordinances and building codes.
  • Serve as a point of contact for project inquiries.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in land development projects, including stormwater management, erosion/sediment control plans, and grading.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • E.I.T. or P.E. certification.
  • Extensive experience in H&H modeling or floodplain analysis.
  • Familiarity with TR-55, HY-8, and HydroCAD.
  • Experience with code reviews to ensure compliance with building codes and zoning regulations.
  • Project management experience.
Work Environment

The position is based on-site at our office in Bel Air, MD, with potential consideration for candidates at our Elkton location. You will work in a collaborative environment within a full-service engineering firm that has been established for over 60 years. Our diverse portfolio includes commercial, residential, industrial, government, parks & recreation, and educational projects. The team consists of approximately 40-50 professionals, offering a balanced work setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
