Manufacturing Supervisor
Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee and manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of production orders, ensuring high-quality standards and on-time delivery. This role involves leading production assembler activities, monitoring production schedules, and communicating potential interruptions. You will also focus on cost reduction through efficiencies and continuous improvement processes while assisting in budget planning and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule the release, assembly, and materials consumption of production orders.
  • Organize and orchestrate production assembler activities to promote the highest quality standards and achieve On-Time Delivery.
  • Monitor production schedules and communicate potential interruptions to appropriate departments and personnel.
  • Reduce costs through efficiencies, continuous improvement processes, and responsible use of resources.
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and controlling department budgets in cooperation with the MTS Manager.
  • Collect, analyze, and formulate data used in the creation of labor standards for MTS products.
  • Create, analyze, and present production reports used in measuring KPIs.
  • Communicate department and organizational targets, goals, and objectives with direct reports.
  • Lead, motivate, and train direct reports to achieve departmental and organizational goals and objectives.
  • Conduct employee appraisals in accordance with HR standards and guidelines.
  • Assist in the praise and disciplinary process of direct reports in accordance with HR standards and guidelines.
  • Responsible for the condition, maintenance, and operation of all department machinery, equipment, and furnishings.
  • Ensure a safe work environment adhering to HSSE/OSHA standards.
  • Maintain department inventories according to stocking policy.
  • Interact with all relevant departments and personnel related to the execution of department responsibilities, targets, goals, and objectives.
  • Responsible for housekeeping, organization, and general condition of responsible areas.
  • Engage with customers, vendors, consultants, visitors, and other external resources as communicated by management.
Essential Skills
  • ERP experience, preferably SAP.
  • Background in manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 4 years supervisory experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate in written and verbal form to professional standards.
  • Ability to manage time constraints, deadlines, and multiple priorities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Project Management experience is advantageous.
  • Self-actuated; organized and efficient.

Our state-of-the-art facility located in Danbury, CT, offers a dynamic work environment with openings on the 2nd shift (3:30 PM - 10:30 PM) and the 3rd shift (10:30 PM - 7 AM). Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
