Job#: 2078191 Job Description: Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Civil Engineer in the Palm Beach Gardens area. **For immediate consideration, please email your resume to [email protected] with the subject line "Civil Engineer- Wind Energy Infrastructure" Job Title: Civil Engineer - Wind Energy Infrastructure Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL Job Type: 12 month contract with likelihood for conversion or extension Pay: Up to $37/hr Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Civil Engineer to support infrastructure development for wind energy projects. This role is critical in planning and modifying access roads to accommodate the transport of heavy wind turbine components. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in civil engineering, road design, and soil load analysis, along with proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS tools. Key Responsibilities: Design and modify access roads to support the transport of heavy wind turbine components. Analyze turning radii and soil conditions to ensure structural integrity and load-bearing capacity. Collaborate with project managers and planners to support site layout and logistics. Oversee and coordinate road repair and modification efforts. Create and manage GIS-based deliverables, including .KMZ files for route planning and site visualization. Assist in civil planning and project management tasks, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. Interface with construction teams and stakeholders to ensure engineering plans are executed effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one is a plus. 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in renewable energy or infrastructure projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS). Strong understanding of soil mechanics, transport logistics, and road construction standards. Excellent communication and project management skills. Preferred Experience: Experience with wind farm or renewable energy infrastructure projects. Familiarity with permitting processes and environmental impact assessments. Knowledge of DOT standards and heavy haul route planning.
