Position Summary:

Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. The purpose of this position is to help carry out the full responsibilities that will continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living.

The incumbent in this position supports the activities and responsibilities of the Door Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Presses door and shoots pins in back of door.

Ensures doors are square and constructed properly.

Ensures there are no open joints in doors.

Ensure correct number of pins are shot in back of doors.

Produce and press quality doors per hour.

Maintain a safe and clean work area.

Properly operates and maintains press square.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

Good interpersonal skills, ability to work with others.

Ability to stay-on-task, follow safety guidelines and work process procedures.

Knowledge of quality standards.

Must know how to read a tape measure.

Must have good hand and eye coordination.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Communicates effectively with the Lead person or Supervisor.

Education and Experience

Demonstrated skills in planning, prioritizing and time management.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete on a timely basis.

Experience using tape gun-pins, clamp press, tape measures, hammer and air nozzle.

Position has recurring work situations that involve having a high attention to detail and service results. It is important that Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. Safety protocols be followed as a guide for operational direction. Failing to follow prescribed guidelines will waste resources and adversely impact performance.

Primarily works in a manufacturing environment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually high.

Wears safety glasses, gloves and ear plugs.
