Analyze, draft blueprints, and evaluate mechanical systems, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials engineering. Research and define mechanical products to meet requirements, identifying new applications for existing technologies. Write performance requirements and collaborate across departments to understand design needs. Perform simulation analyses to ensure design correctness. Coordinate new product development.
