2nd Shift Production Supervisor Job Description As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities for a team of 13 people in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent management skills and a strong work ethic, with the ability to interpret specifications and blueprints and improve production methods. Responsibilities Prepares daily operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications for various production crews Reviews department production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Review work orders to estimate worker hours and create schedules that meet both internal and external needs. Compute amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisition materials from the purchasing department. Interpret specifications and blueprints to workers and assign duties accordingly. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of the product. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the shop, department, or work crew. Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems. Maintain time and production records. Perform other tasks as instructed by supervision. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute ratios and percentages and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning ability: Solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in limited standardized situations. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints. Previous management experience is preferred. Experience with overhead cranes is a plus (certification required). Details: Location : Columbia, SC Pay : Starting at $60,000+ (open to negotiations) Shift : 2nd | 4pm - 2am Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr. igibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
