Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a leading global law firm with offices across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to support our Investment Management Practice. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this role involves planning, coordinating, and executing client-centric business development strategies across the firm.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and facilitator of practice growth, responsible for understanding market trends, building client relationships, conducting research, and developing expansion strategies. The role emphasizes strategic investment, budget management, and data insights to ensure the firm remains competitive and delivers excellent client service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing strategic goals and leading practice-generation programs
  • Managing implementation plans and adjusting strategies based on results
  • Targeting specific clients for revenue growth and cross-practice opportunities
  • Collaborating on pitches, proposals, and marketing campaigns
  • Supporting industry events and networking to promote the firm
  • Analyzing market trends and internal data for strategic planning
  • Preparing reports on key metrics and industry developments
  • Ensuring cross-departmental collaboration

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least seven years of relevant experience in practice development, preferably in legal or professional services firms
  • Knowledge of investment management/financial services industry trends
  • Experience working in matrixed, global environments
  • Proven strategic planning and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal, client service, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Teams
