**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced laborer to join our team at our Concord, NC facility. The position involves keeping production running smoothly by performing tasks such as cleaning the shop, organizing products, and running errands within the Charlotte territory. The role offers exposure to the machine shop, welding department, and manual machining, such as bending and grinding, with the potential to advance to more specialized roles within the company.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop.
+ Organize products efficiently.
+ Run errands within the Charlotte territory.
+ Gain exposure to machine shop operations.
+ Assist in the welding department.
+ Participate in manual machining tasks like bending and grinding.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and fabrication.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in metalworking or machining is preferred.
+ Proficiency in using basic shop tools such as calipers and tape measures.
+ Understanding of fabrication processes.
+ Knowledge of welding processes (MIG/TIG/stick).
+ Strong attention to detail and common sense under pressure.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

The facility is temperature controlled and well-maintained, with distinct sections tailored to the specific work being done. Machines are housed in a dedicated area, while welding takes place in its own designated space. Large bay doors are opened during favorable weather, maintaining a comfortable and clean workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Concord, North Carolina.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
