Apprentice Flooring Installer 3rd Shift

J&M Flooring is seeking full-time Flooring Installers to join our growing team! We are looking for dependable, motivated candidates who can take direction, work with little supervision, and meet deadlines at or above customers expectations. This position consists of demolition of old floor coverings, preparation of subfloor for new floor coverings and the tile installation process. Candidates must be willing to learn how to operate machinery and power tools. We are willing to train the right candidate (no prior flooring experience necessary). This position reports to the Project Manager. This is a full-time position which requires some travel (home every weekend) and overnight shifts. CLEAN DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED.

Flooring Installer Job Duties include:

Effective and regular communication with on-site personnel and project manager

Making sure floor preparation meets manufactures recommendations

Ensuring work quality meets company and customers expectations

Responsible for all equipment and materials

Flooring Installer Requirements include but not limited to:

Ability to prioritize work to meet established deadlines

Must have a positive attitude and flexible schedule

Applicants must be able to do physical work and be able to lift/carry 35-80 pounds often

Able to safely work with a wide variety of equipment

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience

Expected hours: 40 per week
