Baler & Recycling Operator
Location: Clarksville, TN
Shift: 12 hrs Crewing 7pm-7am Grow your career with Jostens!
Our Baler & Recycling Operator is responsible for the set-up, operation and basic maintenance of the Baler unit to meet volume needs of plant production. This position learns and understands all aspects of the Baler machine and is able to load, run and maintain quality checks on the performance of the equipment to achieve productivity demands. This also involves administrative tasks, such as keeping up with paperwork and ordering needed supplies, while maintaining the team leader and supervisors informed of any issues or concerns. This position works with minimal supervision and ensures that paper material is recycled promptly in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for operating a Forklift to move, locate and transport paper material from multiple locations across the plant to the Baler room. The Baler & Recycling Operator will perform other duties within the maintenance department as assigned by the supervisor, on an as needed basis.
Qualifications
High School degree or GED required.
Working knowledge of all equipment, machinery, procedures, processes and paperwork within the department.
Paper waste Baler operator experience preferred.
Forklift experience required.
Must demonstrate knowledge of safety guidelines & procedures.
Must be able to work within the physical requirements for this position.
Needs to support Jostens policies and procedures.
Must be team minded and positive in all interactions with employees at every level.
Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Need to be able to work with minimal supervision.
Must be a self-starter with demonstrated decision making ability.
Must possess excellent attendance and performance record.
Must be able to work in team environment.
Must have mechanical ability and provide maintenance support for department machines.
