AutoCAD Drafter

Seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join the team of one of our clients who is seeking to add an In-House CAD Drafter at their branch in Altamonte Springs. The ideal candidate must possess a solid work history and a willingness to learn and adapt as the branch continues to grow and add new services. This position will work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure that projects are on track to meet deadlines while adhering to project specs.

Whats the Job?

• Create detailed technical drawings for safety systems designed to prevent falls from heights, often in construction, maintenance, or industrial settings.
• Create intermediate to advanced CAD drawings for our clients from concept to completion as directed by a licensed structural engineer.
• Prepare 2D models, sketching, drawing specifications, and create detailed technical drawings.
• Identify and resolve design challenges related to fall protection systems.

• Two or more years of experience using AutoCAD in a professional environment
• Associates degree in related field or equivalent work experience
• Extensive history of commercial building design/drafting, creating drawings of fall protection components, and attaching these components to existing structures.
• Ability to read & interpret construction plans/specs. A strong knowledge of Florida building codes
• High proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and Adobe Pro applications
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Working knowledge of OSHA/ANSI standards a plus
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
