Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) is one of Lockheed Martins best-in-class Lines of Businesses that prioritizes partnership, integrity and reliability. The Mechanical Controls group is an organization within FBM that is responsible for the design and production support of the systems that control the missile both before and after boost.

This position is for a Mechanical Engineer focused on propulsion hardware that collaborates well in a team environment and has excellent communication skills. In this role, you will have numerous opportunities to represent the IPT with our Stakeholders, with many opportunities for career development along the way. The IPT is responsible for the development, manufacture, and management of propulsion hardware within the subsystem.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent fields (systems engineering, electronics, stress/thermal analysis, configuration management, production, test, etc)

- Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences
