Job Overview

Reporting to the Director, Construction and Warranty, as the Construction Coordinato r you provide administrative and clerical support to office and site management staff throughout the construction process of multiple projects.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing permit and development applications with local municipalities.
  • Coordinating with ATCO, ENMAX, and Alberta New Home Warranty for internal operations.
  • Assisting in preparing and tendering contracts to construction trades, suppliers, consultants, and engineering companies.
  • Producing and distributing various project-related documents.
  • Monitoring daily operations and ensuring projects are completed according to expected timelines.
  • Estimating and processing monthly progress draws and approval of invoices for budget controls.
  • Participating in regular construction site meetings and maintaining records of all construction dates and project costs.
  • Liaising with the development team in consideration of new project opportunities and planning or approvals for existing land holdings.
  • Assisting internal operations with project related tasks and documentation.

Essential Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
  • Comfortable using office equipment and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in construction or project coordination is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours with travel to construction sites required on a frequent basis. Overtime may occasionally be required.
