About the Role

National Environmental Consulting firm with 17 office nationwide is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Project Manager (Engineer, Geologist, or Hydrogeologist) to join a growing environmental practice in Irvine, CA. This role is ideal for a technical leader with experience in site investigation, remediation, and environmental compliance who is ready to take ownership of complex projects and mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead environmental projects from planning through execution, managing scope, budget, and schedules.
• Prepare and review technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
• Analyze data throughout construction and remediation phases.
• Assemble and manage multidisciplinary teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and subconsultants to ensure project success.
• Participate in proposal development, client interviews, and contract negotiations.
• Engage in business development and represent the firm in professional associations and technical committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering, geology, or hydrogeology.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license in California, or ability to obtain.
• 10-15 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on site investigation and remediation.
• Strong technical writing skills and experience preparing detailed reports.
• Proven ability to manage project teams and interface directly with clients.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with quality control, cost estimating, and scheduling.
• Effective mentoring and leadership capabilities.
• Familiarity with regulatory coordination and multi-agency collaboration.
• Experience with landfill, brownfield, and groundwater remediation projects is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
